Ultimate Calisthenics by Al Kavadlo
If you haven't reached a certain level of proficiency with your bodyweight, what business do you have handling weights? This is the way I have viewed the world of physical culture. This program will take you from zero to pretty much hero, in a sustainable way without delving into gymnastics or other 'strange' training modalities.
This program has three different main sections : Squire - Horseman - Warrior.
Each one gets progressively more difficult. I'm not going to list all of the exercises here but will be in my log as I log each day. You start with a pretty comprehensive warm-up done for 60 to 90 seconds and then you perform the session of that day.
You workout three days a week, with at least a day in-between and you are encouraged to get some additional activity on your off days. I already walk a ton at work (11 - 15 thousand steps per day) so, I will perform the floor routine from Al Kavadlos mobility man on my off days before bed, a five minute squat sit and a passive bar hang before bed for some additional flexibility work.
I'm extremely excited to get started on this program.
